Floor Plan:
The layout of the space remains open floor plan throughout the entryway, kitchen, dining and, living room. Having the dining space be combined with the kitchen island saved tons of space and made the kitchen appear larger. Having the large windows in the living room allows that space to be bright and brings in plenty of natural light into all of these central spaces. The more intimate spaces (bedroom, closet/laundry, recording Studio, and bathroom) are all connected but have doors to separate the spaces. The bathroom also has two entrances, one coming from the closet for a more personal entrance for the homeowner and an entrance from the bar area to be more accessible for guests.

Living Space:
This bright and open space incorporates many different mid-century-inspired seating options and textiles such as the two worn leather swivel chairs and the long velvet sofa. The large angled window brings in lots of natural daylight into the home and creates the perfect space for enjoying morning coffee or spending time with friends. The sideboard features a record player and holds Kasey's vinyl collection, along with the gallery wall of framed album covers of both her own and other favorites.

Bar:
This additional space was added so when hosting guests and entertaining you have a space to make some cocktails throughout the event. This bar includes an additional glass exposed sink, plenty of storage space for liquors and red wines, as well as a mini-refrigerator for bottled beverages and white wines.

Bedroom:
The bedroom was designed with the purpose of being a sanctuary space that the homeowner Kasey could come to and feel relaxed and refreshed. Including the wood-slatted wall was important to bring in a traditional mid-century element but also bring in warmth to the space to make it feel more comfortable. Keeping the warmth going with the lighting choices was also incorporated to encourage the user to calm down and unwind after a busy day. Having a minimalistic look with the decor was needed to keep the space open and clean, but adding some of those eclectic details with the wall art helps bring in that personal touch for the client.

Kitchen & Dining:
Having plenty of storage was extremely important when designing this space, this can be seen in the wall cabinetry as well as around the U-shaped island. Storage can also be seen in the mudroom space next to the entrance serving as a place to take on and off your shoes when entering the home and store shoes, hats and, other accessories. Having this uniquely shaped island allowed for booth seating in the center which provides seating for 6+ people and centralizes the space. The usage of recessed downlights adds a great lighting element while accentuating the direction of the wooden beams.
