YouMedia's libraries are inclusive spaces that provide activities that anyone can participate in no matter their ethnic background, cultural experience, gender, or physical abilities .

Mood Board:
Having a balance of colors and neutrals was important to make the space feel mature but also be a space were teens would like to spend their time.

Zoned Floor Plan:
Gives an easier look at how I divided the different spaces, keeping the quiet and loud zones separate was very important to create a successful floor plan and having a section dividing the spaces. To the right is where I placed my more Quiet Zone such as the study nooks, reading zone and, cafe. The front desk and lounge zone are used as the dividing space between the quiet and loud zones. And the loud zones on the left side are the recording studio, social zone, podcasting studio, performance zone, computer zone, and, media zone.

Floor Plan:
The flooring was applied in a way to divide the spaces, adding carpeting into the quiet zones for acoustical purposes and hardwood flooring in the loud zones for easy moving of modular furniture. When you initially enter the space from the elevator/staircase you first see the front desk and the signage to indicate what level of the library you currently are on.

Reflected Ceiling Plan:
Used Woodworks Linear Veneered Planks throughout the space while rotating the orientation to divide up the space and feltworks blades and valleys kit and all steel delta ceiling based sound absorption to add acoustical elements where needed. A variety of linear recessed lights and recessed downlights are used throughout the space as well as some decorative pendants and chandeliers.

Computer Zone:
This space has 10 desktop computer stations with acoustical dividers for noise and privacy. These computers are equipped with a variety of different software programs for teens to learn and explore. The natural light coming from the large windows does a good job of lighting the space and will help prevent any eye pain caused by looking at a screen. The custom wall divider is effective at separating the space and allowing privacy for people working on computers.

This space also features a custom-designed ADA-compliant reception desk made to fit this specific environment.

Cafe:
This cafe space has a variety of healthy vending options for both snacks and beverages, as well as a microwave for heating up any meals. The custom-built bar seating counter is ADA compliant and can seat up to 5 people, this space can be used for studying, eating, and hanging out with friends.

Bookshelves & Reading Zone:
These unique bookshelves were custom-built for the space and included a colored wallpaper for contrast, the led light strips going along the top and bottom of the shelves help illuminate the space and provide extra light when searching for specific books. The library holds many different books such as the ACT and SAT exam preparation, as well as other popular novels.
